Zulu Straps are made from cross weaved nylon with solid polished 316L stainless steel buckle and strap keepers. All joints on the strap are first laser sealed followed by sewn to give the strap maximum integrity.
Zulu straps is heavy duty variant of the NATO straps. From the beginning, they just like NATO straps, have been developed for a specific purpose, and in this case, it was for professional divers who needed extra strong and long straps to fit their divers watches outside of the wetsuits. The solution was rough strip of thick nylon, with heavy duty steel parts. The Zulu 3-ring straps are manufactured in one piece, without the extra "strap" that NATO bands have.
The Zulu straps are very resistant to all forms of damage. They are made of durable nylon and is available in a variety of nice colors.
Originally designed for professional divers the Zulu straps are obviously completly waterproof and very strong and long enough to wear outside of the outer garment/divers wetsuits. It is about 27.5 to 28 cm long.
With time and wearing the Zulu straps get softened up and get a beautiful patina in the form of a slight abrasion and fading (not unlike a pair of jeans).
